Specialist Support for Families and Teachers

Family Centred support for children to flourish

Feel Empowered, Feel in Control

With more than 20 years of experience in Special Education and child development, I partner with families to bring more confidence, connection and calm into everyday life.

Using a relationship based approach and the Notice-Recognise-Respond framework, I support parents and caregivers to understand behaviour, respond in meaningful ways, and help their child to grow and thrive. Together, we will find practical strategies that fit your whānau - so life at home will bring a lot more fun!

Services that Connected Families offers

Connected Families offers flexible, family-centred support for children aged 0–12 and their whānau. Based in Hamilton, I work in partnership with families to understand each child’s unique strengths and needs using the Notice–Recognise–Respond framework. Support is available through home visits, meeting at a Hamilton based office space or online sessions—whatever works best for your family.

Funding options

There are various options to help you pay for services offered by Connected Families . You might be able to use funding such as:

  • Child Disability Allowance (CDA). CDA is a recognition payment for the primary caregiver, acknowledging the extra care and attention they provide each day. You could choose to use this funding to pay towards our services to support you.

  • WINZ Disability Allowance (DA). As a registered WINZ supplier, if you qualify for the Disability Allowance, then WINZ could pay you up to $80.35 per week, depending on verified weekly costs. You can choose to use this funding to pay for our services if it best supports your whānau. The DA is a cost-based payment that helps towards regular ongoing expenses related to a disability or health condition.

If you are not sure what applies to your situation, feel free to get in touch - I'm happy to guide you through the process to make support accessible for your whānau.
